Logger Boots are designed for those in the logging industry but can also serve as a boot for linemen. They typically feature superior traction with rugged slip and oil resistant outsoles with a larger heel for walking on slippery logs or wet forest debris such as mud or muck as well as additional comfort technology for those long hours, waterproof yet breathable materials, and additional support for rough terrain. Logging boots are also available with ASTM rated safety toes, insulation, and are known and recognized for their signature “kiltie”, a false tongue just past the bottom eyelets that is serrated. Some of the most popular logger boots are made by Chippewa but Georgia, Wolverine and Timberland also make quality logging boots as well as Golden Retriever and Danner. Over the years a lot of bikers have taking a liking to these boots because of their rugged design, durability, comfort and height. It’s the type of boot you can throw on, jump on your hog and work in them all day without having to lug around another pair of boots.
