Corcoran Boot Care

Corcoran makes a vast array of boots styles, always using the top materials but differing. In order to care for your boots to get the best function from them, you can use these suggestions given directly from Corcoran.

Waterproof Boots:
  • Gently wash the boots using a mild soap and water
  • To dry, air dry naturally in order to keep the leather soft
  • Apply Several layers of quality leather cleaner and conditioner to the leather surfaces. After this follow application with a liquid silicone to all seams.
  • Clean and treat boots at least once a month for the ultimate wear.
  • It is recommended that any Cordura or Nylon be treated with a spray coating of stain repellent.
  • Do not spit shine waterproof boots.
Non-Waterproof Boots:
  • Wash boots gently with mild soap water.
  • DO NOT USE THE FOLLOWING: Lighter Fluid, Rubbing Alcohol, Lacquer solvent, methylene chloride. These products will break down the tannery finish on your boots.
  • Do not dry with heat.
  • Several thin layers of quality paste polish should be applied.
  • Keep boots clean and well conditioned for most life.
Fleshout Leather
  • Having a suede finish and nylon side panels; no polishing is necessary.
  • Wipe inside boots with a most rag and let dry.
  • Dry boot insoles in sunlight away from intense heat, as the stronger the heat the more damage done to boy nylon and leather.
  • Use warm water and a soft nylon bristled brush to clean the boots side panels. If you properly care for the nylon, it will be as strong as leather and last.
